5 reasons why social media is good for our generation

We are in a phase in which technology has become a huge part of our lives. From helping us communicate with others, to having a massive amount of information at our fingertips, its appearance benefits us, and it totally changed the system. Regardless, like everything in life, it also has weaknesses. It affects our relationships with others and using it, is a hunger that never satisfies. The key is to remember that technology facilitates our lives but is not meant to be a substitute.

 The internet at its best is when it supports higher-quality pursuits that give us a return, and it all depends on how the user uses the different platforms. Social media specifically, enhances life and helps us turn the big into massive and the mediocre evident. Along the way, companies have developed strategies to make you stare longer by gathering the information through social approval indicators. As a result, they become more knowledgeable about their particular target, us. So, if you think you're insane for always being hooked to your phone, chances are it's meant to happen. Nevertheless, I'd like to point out some ways these platforms contribute to the better.

Connectivity. This might be one of the most essential benefits of Social Media. We are able to connect with anyone in any part of the world, meet new people, and share our thoughts and ideas with them.

Information. As I mentioned before, the amount of knowledge that we can acquire is at our fingertips. Education is so much easier and whatever you want.. you'll definitely find online. I don't think it has ever been this easy to get informed, but with a bombardment of info, we have to learn to prioritize our attention. 

Help. Being connected opens doors to endless possibilities. It breaks the bubble and allows us to reach out for help if we need it; since everything has a community.  

Building a Community. Whether you want to build a personal brand or a business, social media will allow you to reach a bigger audience. By doing that, you'll make your reputation and get recognition depending on the quality of your work. Figure out what you want to tell and lead the conversation.

Awareness. Social media helps us find out about a lot of important topics. Through it, we figure out ways on how to contribute to specific causes and get informed about the subject. It also allows us to discover different forms of upgrading our quality of life.
